From 30 January to 27February 2017I underwent scientific training at Kazan State Medical University,at the Department of Normal Physiology.

The Department of Normal Physiology of Kazan State Medical University, one of the oldest in Russia, emerged in 1806 as a part of the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Forensic Medicine of Kazan Imperial University. In 2006, the Department celebrated 200th anniversary of its existence.

In the framework of the implementation of academic mobility program, I conducted practical classes on “Normal physiology” subject for the students of the Faculty of Dentistry.

Also during this period were conducted two series of experiments for the study of reaction of myocardial contractility to norepinephrine and serotonin 1) in children with pulmonary hypertension and 2) in rats aged 5-6 weeks.

The Department of Normal Physiology of Medical University of Kazan is a leading Russian scientific school. I would like to point out the high scientific activity of the department. The employees carry out the extensive research in the areas of cellular and molecular mechanisms of synaptic transmission and plasticity; fundamental bases of pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases; mechanisms of regulation of heart function in health and disease; mechanisms of regulation of skeletal and smooth muscles; development of modern methods of treatment of nervous systemdiseases.

During implementation of academic mobility program at the Department of Normal Physiology, I developed new skills and gained experience in performance of experimental part. I think this knowledge will help in further conduction of research activities. I would like to express special thanks to the Head of the Department of Physiology of KSMU, M.D., Prof. Mindubaeva F.A. for the given opportunity to perform experiments on the basis of the Department of Normal Physiology of Kazan State Medical University.
