Within implementation of the academic mobility program, from 13 to 24 February 2017 the teachers of the Department of Medical Biophysics and Informatics Aitkenova A.A., Badekova K.Zh. and Tazhina A.M. visited Zhezkazgan University named after O.A. Baykonurov (ZhezU). During the specified period were conducted lectures, practical and laboratory classes for the students of 1-2 courses of “Biology” specialty on the disciplines “Human and animal physiology”, “Cytology and histology”, and “Information and communication technologies”.

The classes were conducted with the use of various teaching methods: problem lectures, elements of problem-based and team-based learning. In order to develop practical knowledge and skills of students, there were conducted classes involving interactive teaching methods, which aroused great interest among the students, and followed by diverse discussions on solving one or another problem. At the end of each class was conducted a survey of students. Analysis of the survey showed that those methods had aroused great interest among students and contributed to rapid absorbing information. There was also held an open lesson on the topic “Educated generation is the earnest of a brighter future”. The sessions were attended by the academic and teaching staff of ZhezU, who considered the classes conducted using active learning methods and gave a high evaluation.

Baykonurov, and to the employees of the Department of Natural Sciences: Candidate of Biological Sciences Myrzaly G.Zh., Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences Zhanseitova Zh.K., senior lecturers Tatambaeva K.M., Syzdykova A.K., Martkamalova K.S., and Kulseitova L.K. for warm hospitality, excellent organization and provision of technically equipped classrooms.
