XV Congress of pediatric infectious disease specialists of Russia titled “Actual problems of infectious pathology and vaccinal prevention” took place on 8-10 December 2016 in Moscow. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, the Board of Health of Moscow, Non-Profit Partnership “National Medical Chamber”, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, “Diagnostika i Vaktsiny” LLC.

The Conference participants were doctors, resident medical practitioners, interns, master’s students, and students from Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. Karaganda State Medical University was represented by the 4-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry Shaumenkulova Fariza (4-089 group) and Beisen Nurayym (4-077 group), and a 5-year student Alimbekova Aiganym (5-056 group), who made a poster presentation entitled “Clinical and morphological manifestations of giardiasis in adolescent girls.”

The article was published in “Pediatric infections” scientific journal of the Association of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialists; and the students were awarded the Diploma for participation in the Competition of Young scientists in the framework of the XV Congress of Pediatric Infection Diseases Specialists.
