From 4 October 2016 to 30 December 2016 within the academic mobility program, the internists of the 7^th course Kairalapova Altynay and Meshelova Altyn were sent to Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education (RMACPE) in Moscow.

From 4 October 2016 to 25 November 2016, we studied “Cardiology” module at the Department of Therapy and Adolescent Medicine, located at the City Clinical Hospital named after V.V. Veresaev of the Board of Health of Moscow. The departments of cardiological profile are situated in the building No. 12: heart disease department, cardiac surgery department, department of X-ray and surgery methods of diagnostics and treatment, department of disorders of heart rhythm andelectro-cardio stimulation, department of vascular surgery, department of emergency cardiology with cardiac resuscitation unit, cardiac surgery resuscitation department and department of functional diagnostics. On the first day of our staying, we got acquainted with the Head of the Department, the Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Professor Avtandilov AlexanderGeorgievich.

During the first month, we were assigned to the Department of Cardiac Resuscitation, which is a part of the Regional Vascular Center. Every day started with the morning conferences and morning rounds together with the Head of the Department Shogenov Zaur Sultanovich. In the course of studies, we got familiar with the structure and principles of functioning of the department and the hospital in whole, took an active part in the work of the cardiology unit, supervision of patients jointly with the doctors, and observed the coronography procedure. We applied practically the skills in provision of qualified medical care in acute coronary syndrome and treatment of the patients with such syndrome. The educational process also included the lectures of Professor Avtandilov A.G. and Candidate of Medical Sciences Shogenov Z.S.

From 7 November 2016 to 25 November 2016, we continued studying the module at the Heart Disease Department No. 6, headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences Kutepov Uriy Sergeevich. We were assigned to the doctors, and with them, we examined the patients and participated in the rounds.

From 28 November 2016, we began the study of “Nephrology” module at the Department of Nephrology and Hemodialysis at the clinical site of the City Clinical Hospital Named after S.P. Botkin of the Board of Health of Moscow. We attended the lectures of the teaching and academic staff of the Department of Professional Advancement for Nephrologists. The nephrological care is provided in two departments: Nephrological Department No. 24 and Nephrological Department No. 12, consisting of three subdivisions: the in-patient hospital for 30 persons for treatment of patients of nephrological profile at the pre-dialysis stage of CKD, and patients who need hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysistreatment; the unit of inpatient hemodialysis (16 hemodialyzers) for treatment of serious patients with high comorbidity; the unit of outpatient hemodialysis (20 hemodialyzers). We visited the unit of inpatient hemodialysis, where we familiarized withtheprinciples of organization of dialysis treatment and work of hemodialyzers.

In addition to the educational process,we had an eventful entertainment program: we visited many cultural sitesand architectural monuments, tourist attractions of Moscow.

This trip gave us a lot of new information, unforgettable impressions, skills in professional and personal sphere, and more importantly, motivation to achieve new goals in study and science.  

We want to note friendly attitude of the staff of the International Department of RMACPE, the Department of Therapy and Adolescent Medicine, the Department of Nephrology and Hemodialysis, the doctors of the Department of Cardiac Resuscitation and Heart Disease Department No. 6 of the City Clinical Hospital named after V.V. Veresaev.
