On 22 December 2016 at the Assembly Hall of KSMU was held an extended meeting of the Academic Council. The meeting was opened by the Chair of the Academic Council, the Rector of KSMU, Professor Raushan Sultanovna Dosmagambetova. Raushan Sultanovna congratulated everyone on successful work of the Dissertation Council of KSMU on “Medicine” specialty and gave PhD diplomas to Matyushko Dmitry Nikolaevich and Kolesnikova Evgenia Aleksandrovna.

Then Raushan Sultanovna delivered a report on the work performed in 2016. There were specified all accomplishments and achievements recorded by the University within the reporting year of 2016. Everyone present was pleased to know that the tasks that had been assigned to the University, have been almost performed. After that, the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Science and International Cooperation Turmukhambetova Anar Akylbekovna familiarized the academic and teaching staff with the tasks assigned to the University in the upcoming year of 2017. Then the Head of the Department of Human Resources Kravtsiv Elena Aleksandrovna announced the results of rating evaluation of the academic and teaching staff of KSMU. In the category “The Best Theoretical Department” the first place was taken by the Department of Microbiology; in the category “The Best Clinical Department” the winner became the Department of Internal Diseases No. 1.

In the category “The Best Head of Department” the diploma was given to Baltabaeva Saule Akhmetova, the Head of the Department of Microbiology; in the category “The Best Professor” the winner was Tusupbekova Maida Maskhapovna, Professor, the Head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy and Forensic Medicine; in the category “The Best Associate Professor” the winner was Klyuev Dmitry Anatolievich, Associate Professor of the Department of Biological Chemistry; in the category “The Best Senior Teacher” the winner was Medieva Saule Karsenbaevna, a Senior Teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages (freelance part-time worker); in the category “The Best Teacher” the winner was Demidchik Lyudmila Andreevna, a teacher of the Department of Biological Chemistry; in the category “The Best Assistant” the winner was Appazova Leyla Saruarovna, an Assistant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology; in the category “The Best Young Assistant/Teacher” the winner was Romanyuk Yulia Leonidovna, an Assistant-Probationer of the Department of Internal Diseases No. 1 (freelance part-time worker); in the category “The Best Mentor” the winner was Kenzhetaeva Zamira Azyevna, an Assistant of the Department of General Medical Practice No. 1. All winners were awarded a one-time cash prize.

Also at the meeting of the Academic Council were awarded prizes on the results of the contest within the Kazakh languagedecade at Karaganda State Medical University titled “Медицина білімі – мемлекеттік тіл аяында”, held in the period from 12 December to 23 December 2016. The prizes were given to the departments, actively participated in its conduction. According to the decision of the Expert Committee, in “Апталыққа ат салысайық!” competition the owner of Grand Prix became the Department of Children Diseases No. 2; the I place was taken by the Department of Immunology and Allergology; the II place was taken by the Department of Children Diseases No. 1 and the Department of Occupational Hygiene, Professional Diseases, Hygiene in Children and Adolescents; the III place was taken by the Department of Public Health No. 1, the Department of Histology and the Department of Medical Biophysics and Informatics. A commendation for participation was awarded to the following departments: Oncology, Biological Chemistry, Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Surgery, Pediatric Infectious Diseases. In the category “Үздік эссе” the winner was a 5-year student of 5-038 group of General Medicine and Dentistry Faculty Kalgapbar Aigerim Batyrbekkyzy; in the category “Үздік жазба жұмысы” among the managerial and executive personnel of Non-Kazakh nationality the winner was a specialist of the Department of Strategic Development Pak Katerina Victorovna, and among the academic and teaching staff the winner was Izmailovich Marina Rashidovna, an assistant of the Department of Immunology and Allergology. In the framework of the event was held a meeting of the clubs “Kyran” and “Ақжүніс”. All participants were awarded theletters of thanks.

The most worthy three students, studying at the Military Department were transferred from the training on a fee-paying basis to the training on a budgetary basis.

The extended meeting of the Academic Council was held in a warm, businesslike and holiday atmosphere.
