On 25 November 2016 in the framework of the program dedicated to the World AIDS Day, was held an event called “AIDS. DO NOT GIVE IT A CHANCE!” under the direction of the Head of the Department of Immunology and Allergology M.A. Gazalieva, an Assistant-probationer M.R. Izmailovich together with the students of the groups 3-067, 3-068, 3-072, 4-001a, 5-075, 5-076, 5-082 of “General medicine” specialty. The action was held at the hall of the educational building No. 4 (40 Gogol Street) and the educational building No. 2 (7 Alalykin Street).

There were raised the issues that intimidate people: what HIV is, its difference from AIDS, the mechanism of development and, most importantly, how to protect and test oneself. All these and many other questions could be remembered and, if necessary, asked by the students.

100 of leaflets were distributed in the University buildings.

The aim of the event was to draw attention of the students to the problem of HIV and AIDS through information about the ways of HIV transmission and infection.

The objectives of the event as follows: development of skills to understand the methods and means of prevention of HIV and AIDS, formation of belief about the necessity to avoid behaviors associated with the undue risk to health and life, to nurture proper attitude towards oneself, one’s health, to be capable of keeping a healthy lifestyle.
