The state of health of young people is an important part of the nation healthy potential, therefore, preservation and development of the health of students and formation of their healthy lifestyle is a priority at present.

On 29 November 2016 under the auspices of the HLS at Karaganda State Industrial University of Temirtau was held the VI Republican Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern problems of formation of healthy lifestyle among young people”. In the conference took part the pupils, students, master’s students and associate professors from all over Kazakhstan and the countries of near abroad. Our university was represented by the interns of 6-003 group of “General medicine” Faculty of “Obstetrics and gynecology” specialty Iskra Y.D. and Kim M.S. The reports were delivered in the state, Russian and English languages, and were divided into 4 sections:

Section No. 1: Modern tendencies in health-preservation technologies and promotion of healthy lifestyle.

Section No. 2: Spiritual and moral foundations of personal development.

Section No. 3: Legal culture and deviant behavior among young people.

Section No. 4: Healthy lifestyle and its components.

The reports of our interns were highly appreciated by the jury board. In Section No. 1 “Modern tendencies in health-preservation technologies and in promotion of healthy lifestyle” the first place was taken by Yulia Iskra with the research on the topic “Culture of contraceptive behavior of young people”. The report of Margarita Kim on the topic “STD prevalence among women of childbearing age at Women's consultation” was also awarded the first place in the Section No. 4 “Healthy lifestyle and its components”. The best reports will be published in the conference proceedings of KSIU. For active participation in the conference KSIU administration gave letters of thanks to the Rector of KSMU Dosmagambetova Raushan Sultanovna and to the Scientific Adviser Vorobyova Regina Vasilievna.
