As a part of World Diabetes Day, the Department of Children Diseases No. 2 under the guidance of the Head of the Department M.D., Professor B.T. Tukbekova together with the interns of 6^th course, 6-026, 6-027 and 6-028 groups held an event dedicated to prevention of diabetes.

The organizers of the event were the tutors of 6^th course: Candidate of Medical Sciences, acting professor S.T. Kizatova and Assistant, Supervisor of 6^th course of the intern-pediatricians G.A. Sarmankulova; Intern-pediatricians from the groups: 6-026 (F.T. Usenova, K. Ondabaeva, D. Kaymolda, F. Ibragimova), 6-027 (A. Abil, Zh. Dinkeshova, F. Kozhalimova, A. Kaldybekova, A. Kaldybaeva, M. Tatieva), 6-028 group (K. Sarsenbayeva).

The purpose of this event was to increase the knowledge about social importance of diabetes, the problem of acute and late complications, disability. M.V. Kazantseva, M.D., freelance endocrinologist, who specified the innovative technology in treatment of this disease, also was an honorable guest at the event.

Everybody took an active part in this event. The interns of 6^th year in a playful form, very clearly showed the causes of diabetes in children. To consolidate the information received, the interns played a game on knowledge of classification, etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical picture of diabetes.

The event included a dombra kui and “Уақыт” poem. The Master of the Ceremony was Kaldybekova Arailym.

It was decided to hold the event at “School of Diabetes” for children, as well as to plan the conduction of research within the RBL.
