Fire safety training at Department of Emergency Medical Care No. 2
On 13.09.2016 by the Rector of KSMU was issued the Order No. 171 “On training in emergencies”. On 28 October 2016, the staff of the Department of Emergency Medical Care No. 2 conducted an action training called “Fire”. In the training took part 20 students of 5th year of the Faculty of “General medicine and dentistry” and 9 principal members of the department staff.
Training
preparation was done according to the plan, showed positive results in training
conduction, helped to coordinate the actions of the department staff.
The training started with the “Fire” signal,
the Faculty dean was immediately notified. The head of the Department G.S. Zhumabekova
oversaw the actions and evacuation of the department staff and the students. The
training was held by Y.L. Ganzhula and civil defense assistant A.S. Aydarbekova.
All staff
gathered at the hall, and all power sources were switched off. Out of the fume
zone were evacuated the students and the lab staff. All actions were well
coordinated, carried out promptly, by doing so it was possible to avoid panic
among the students and the staff.
The aim of this training was to check
the ability of the staff to eliminate the emergency situation on their own and
to alert the staff residing at the Department in case of fire. It was also
important to check the ability of the staff to perform their duties in
emergency, to ensure safe evacuation of the staff and the students to a place
of safety.
The staff fulfilled this task “well”
and acted with full responsibility for the lives of their colleagues and
students. The staff of the Department of Emergency Medical Care No. 2 and the students
showed “readiness” to act in emergencies of any kind.
Such trainings are very important and
necessary for us. They help to raise in teachers and students a sense of
personal responsibility for their own safety, to avoid victims in the case of
emergency and to improve their knowledge in civil defense and emergencies.
