According to the Order of the Chairman of the Committee for Control of Education and Science of MES RK No. 316 of 31.03.2016, in Karaganda State Medical University was established a Dissertation Committee for theses defense for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty 6D110100 - Medicine.

The composition of the Dissertation Committee was approved by the Academic Council of KSMU (Record No. 9 dated April 28, 2016).

On 19 October 2016 at the University was defended a thesis for the academic degree on specialty 6D110100 – “Medicine”.

The meeting of the Dissertation Committee was opened by the Chairman, M.D. Azizov Ilya Suleimanovich, who congratulated everyone on the opening of the Committee and familiarized all members with the agenda.

On the agenda was theses defense for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Topics of dissertations were devoted to the urgent issues of medicine: “The Pathophysiological and pathomorphological changes in organism associated with the intra-abdominal hypertension” (doctoral candidate D.N. Matyushko. Scientific advisers: E.M. Turgunov, M.D., Professor, Head of Department of Surgical Diseases No. 2 of KSMU; Alexander Zlotnik, PhD, Professor, Ben-Gurion University, Soroka University Medical Center (Beersheba, Israel); “Role of disturbance of physical and chemical parameters of erythrocytes in progression of chronic kidney disease” (doctoral candidate E.A. Kolesnikova. Scientific advisers: L.E. Muravleva, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Head of Department of Biological Chemistry of KSMU; Sergo Tabagari PhD, Professor of David Tvildiani Medical University (Tbilisi, Georgia); “Development of a mathematical model of the probability of acute stroke in patients with metabolic syndrome” (doctoral candidate I.A. Kadyrova. Scientific advisers: F.A. Mindubaeva, M.D., Professor, Head of Department of Physiology of KSMU; Vaiva Hendrixson, PhD, Professor, Vilnius University (Vilnius, Lithuania).

The members of the Dissertation Committee, as well as formal and informal reviewers, especially noted the relevance, theoretical and practical urgency of research topics.
