On 18 October, Department of Youth Affairs together with “INSIGHT” Debate club conducted a debate tournament dedicated to the Day of Spiritual Harmony.

      The theme of tournament was “Interfaith Harmony and Tolerance”. The Republic of Kazakhstan is a multinational and multi-confessional state. Representatives of various religions have lived peacefully in Kazakhstan for many decades.

   It is well known that disagreements in religious issues are one of the most common reasons of war. Conversely, prosperity and stability of any society largely depend on interfaith harmony and tolerance.

         During heated debate, participants of tournament came to conclusion that spiritual harmony is the guarantee of stability in society.

         By results of tournament, the competent jury distributed places as follows:

1st place - Rasulmetov Anvar (2-042 OM) and Altaeva Janel (2-032 OM);

2nd place - Bolat Aitken (1-012 OM) and Zhomart Ryszhan (1-001 OЗ);

3rd place - Imash Aidar (2-033 OM) and Sarsenova Aselkhan (2-035 OM).

        The outcome of tournament was not just the victory of one of the teams, but also understanding by all participants and spectators of importance of interfaith harmony for stability and prosperity of state.
