Meeting with representatives of law enforcement authorities

On September 28 at the Assembly hall of the University was held a regular meeting of KSMU students with the representatives of law enforcement authorities. The meeting was attended by: Vice-rector for Educational and Methodological Work V.B. Molotov-Luchanskiy, Deputy Chief of Local Police Service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Karaganda region Col. N.A. Rakhimbekov, Head of RLPD of Central Police Department Maj. D.S.Abildin, Chief Inspector of LPS of the Department of Internal Affairs of Karaganda Maj. Zh.S.Shutenova, Local Policeman of RLPD of CPD Senior Lieutenant D. Gabituly and Rector’s Assistant A.D. Karasartov.

       The following issues were discussed at the meeting:

1. Prevention of crime; work of the department of local police service.

2. Measures of administrative and criminal penalties.

3. Clarification of anti-corruption legislation of Kazakhstan.

4. Work of Voluntary National Teams (VNT) for preventing violations of law and order.

Deputy Chief of Local Police Service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Karaganda region Col. N.A. Rakhimbekov familiarized the audience with the work of law enforcement authorities, Local Police Service and violations committed by students. He also informed the audience about the changes to the Criminal Code and the Administrative Violations Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan entered into force 01.01.2015. He also noted that, unfortunately, offences in youth environment take one of the leading positions.

Head of RLPD of Central Police Department Maj. D.S.Abildin told about the changes to the legislation of RK. He elucidated the responsibility for committing administrative offenses stipulated by the Article 440 of the AVC “Public drunk”, Art. 437 of AVC “Observance of silence in the evening and at night (from 23 PM to 06 AM)” and Art. 434 of AVC “Disorderly conduct”.

During the meeting, KSMU students actively asked questions and received irrefragable answers.
