In order to increase the religious literacy of youth, at Karaganda State Medical University are regularly held the meetings of students with the representatives of clergy, religious scholars, and the representatives of the Board of Religious Affairs.

     On September 20 at the Assembly hall, a theologian of “Нұрлы білім” public association A.K. Abdrashev performed before the representatives of deans' offices and Youth Work Department, teachers, and University students. 

    At the beginning of the meeting was made a speech by the Head of Youth Work Department A.A. Ungarbaeva, who told about the importance of instilling in the young generation of tolerant consciousness and formation of persistent rejection of any kind of destructive religious ideology, then Aidos Kalizhanovich was asked to speak.

     Aidos Abdrashev familiarized the audience with the history of development and basic principles of the Islamic religion and non-traditional religious movements, their role in modern society. He strived for development of cognitive activity of the audience, ability to analyze and compare information, draw the conclusions. To the audience was made a presentation of the video film about Kazakhstan citizens who went to foreign countries for participation in hostilities, presentation of pictures of book editions that are not recommended to read, photos of the Islamists who must not be listened to.

    In addition, the students asked their questions and received answers from K.A. Abdrashev.

After the meeting, Rector’s Assistant A.D. Karasartov urged the students not to be indifferent and report on suspicious behavior of persons, or objects unusual for some area. He congratulated students on beginning of the academic year, encouraged to play sports and wished success in their studies. 

Our University continues working on formation of the immune to destructive religious ideology and respect for the laws, traditions and customs of a secular state.
