On September 24, at the City Park was held the traditional track-and-field race “Golden Autumn” among the University teams, colleges, schools, work collectives and organizations

  The organizer of the competition was the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Karaganda.

  The main purpose of the competition was the promotion of track and field athletics, and involvement of people of the city into regular jogging.

  The athletics team of KSMU took part in the following composition:

Women: Oralbekova Zhazira (2-015 GM), Koyshibaeva Ainura (4-100 GM), Rebrina Oksana (3-069 GM), Nurzhanova Saltanat (2-020 GM), Rakhimberlina Saltanat (2-082 GM) and Zhantlesova Togzhan (2- 021 GM);

Men: Rogozin Vyacheslav (6-074 GM), Nurgaziev Beksultan (2-002 GM), Vengelovskiy Vladimir (2-009 Stom), Mukhtar Anarbek (2-003 GM), Nikulin Yuri (1-002 PH) and Sukharev Vadim (2- 003 GM).

  Having shown the enviable will to win and excellent preparation, in a tense struggle at the distance of 500 meters our women took the first place and became the absolute winners of the competition. Men of KSMU also did their best and took the second place at the distance of 1000 meters.

  All participants of “golden” team were awarded with honorary medals and valuable prizes.
