On September 10 was held the traditional sports and cognitive quiz “Zhol ashar” for the first-year students of Karaganda State Medical University. In the quiz took part 10 teams of 8 people from among the students of the faculties of General Medicine and Dentistry and Preventive Medicine, Biology and Pharmacy.

By tradition, all teams had to go through the stations of the itinerary list, namely, the dormitories and buildings of our University. They had to achieve the station necessarily in a body, answer the questions and gain the maximum number of “stars” for correct answers.

  This year, in order to familiarize the freshmen not only with the University but with the city as well, in the game were introduced new rules: two extra stations from among the landmarks of the city were added to the itinerary list.

Also was added the second round in which the teams had to write an essay on topic “Day called “Good luck”.

According to the results of the quiz, the teams took the following places:

1.  Maximum(Preventive medicine, biology and pharmacy)

2.  Penguins of KSMU (General medicine and dentistry)

3.  Kyran (General medicine and dentistry)

The teams were also awarded in the following nominations:

1.  Best captain – Adrenaline (General medicine and dentistry)

2.  The most creative team – Zhalyn (Preventive medicine, biology and pharmacy)

3.  The best essay – Sparta (General medicine and dentistry)

4.  The most friendly team – Friendship (Preventive medicine, biology and pharmacy)

5.  The most inventive team – OM-78 (General medicine and dentistry)

6.  The most punctual team –Optimists (General medicine and dentistry)

7.  The best slogan – Aibolit (General medicine and dentistry)

We would like to express our gratitude to the SSGC of the dormitories for their assistance in organizing this event. We wish the teams development, looking into the future with the prospect and never stop improving. It is desirable that we aspire to high purposes and seek to cultivate our abilities.
