Practice in Tyumen
In the framework of the
academic mobility program from 21st June to 4th July
we, the 3rd year students of the faculty of General medicine and
dentistry, passed professional practice “Assistant procedural nurse” in the
Tyumen State Medical University (Tyumen, Russia).
On arrival in the city, a deep mark in our memory left the kindness of the employees of the Dean's office and the hospital, which we were directed to. We had the honor to attend the consultation of surgeons at Tyumen Regional Clinic №1, and then we went to the burns department.
We were in this Department entire period of the internship. We worked with case histories and journals of receipts and statements, reviewed documentation of Department, produced a feeding and transportation of patients, thermometry. Also under the control of the nurses we have produced such manipulations as setting intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, provided direct assistance in the work of nurses of dressing cabinet, and was even watched carrying out the necrectomy and autodermoplasty!
We, the 3rd year students of the faculty of General medicine and dentistry are very grateful to our University (KSMU) for the opportunity to pass professional practice in Russia. It was nice to know that we are some of those who had the honor to present our University and Motherland in another country.
