On April 13-14, 2016 International scientific and practical conference "Actual problems of forensic medicine and expert practice - 2016", dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist Professor Vitaly Nikolaevich Kryukov was held in Moscow.

The conference was attended by leading specialists from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia and Europe. The conference was presented the German experience of specialists in the area of Slovakia forensic and molecular genetic studies on the implementation of effective approaches to the development of forensic research methods and attract practitioners of forensic experts to innovation. There were also presented approaches and models, realized in Russia.

The conference worked  within 6 sections, among which the "Symposium of the East of the European Union forensic" was held too. In total more than 100 scientific papers were read, more than 10 workshops and 5 seminars were conducted. The conference discussed in detail theoretical and practical processes of judicial practice in the world in terms of demand and modernization of the forensic medical examination, as well as specialist training processes. Conference was devoted to various aspects of forensic medicine which are an integral part of the modern development of forensic services. The key themes of the conference were the issues of preference of traditional or computer autopsy, the pros and cons of the modern study of physical evidence, strategies for the development of forensic medical examination of various countries in the future need for human resources in forensic medicine in its scientific and practical aspects and role of scientific conferences in solving urgent problems. Thus, the International scientific-practical conference "Actual problems of forensic medicine and expert practice - 2016" not only introduced forensic experts from different countries with new scientific advances in this field, but also was the venue for the international scientific dialogue among scientists, who willingly shared their experiences with young people from different countries interested in the workshops and meetings, teaching them specific practical skills.

In the International scientific-practical conference, our university was presented by an assistant professor of surgical diseases №2 and pathological anatomy, PhD, forensic expert of the highest category S.A.Musabekova. She presented a report "On the concept of forensics in the Republic of Kazakhstan", who was awarded a diploma in the nomination for the best paper. Conference organizers expressed their confidence that the forensic experts of Karaganda region and will continue to cooperate and take an active part in the work of scientific and practical conferences on forensic medicine, conducted within the framework of international cooperation and exchange of experience.
