On April 9, Department of Youth Affairs and discussion club "The INSIGHT" held debate tournament on the theme "Health of Tomorrow - innovative therapies." In KSMU the tournament was attended by participants of the discussion club, as well as university teachers. Debate tournament between the teams of students and teachers has already become traditional at KSMU. The presents list of participants makes the debate tournament, not just a competition, but the exchange of knowledge and ideas from different generations of doctors. University classes and lectures mainly transfer knowledge from the teacher to the student, so the value of these tournaments is that there is a transfer of ways of thinking from today's doctors, the future ... The future cannot exist without the past, so the medicine of tomorrow is born of the medicine of the day today.

 During the debate, the students had announced a large number of new treatments and ways to diagnose of the diseases. However, with the light hand of the teachers it was found out that most of the new techniques have been developed for a long time and is represented on display just now, for various reasons: lack of funding, the unstable economic situation in the past, or the unavailability of the medical community to implement treatment data.

It was announced not only the methods but also the ratio of wards to its use. It turned out that most of these methods is a concern not only our teachers but also the students, due to excessive pain.

The tournament was very productive, because it is a meeting of representatives of two generations of medicine.

And even still, the youth gives way to the level of clinical practice their more experienced opponents - it does not mean that students are lost, because they adopted their mentors share knowledge, and that, clearly, will help them in future medical practice.
