On April 14, 2016, students of the University under the leadership of Senior Lecturer of history of Kazakhstan and social and political disciplines Department  Dolgopolov Alexander Borisovich and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine, Biology and Pharmacy Omarova Aynur Kuralbekovnа visited the Museum of memory of victims of political repression, located in the Dolinka settlement.

Karlag(fullname– Karaganda Disciplinary Labour Camp of People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs – PCIA) was one of hundred camps, which had general name GULAG (General management of camps). They were organized by Stalin in the period of mass political repressions. The other camps were on the territory of Kazakhstan, in which the Soviet Totalitarian System broke the human lives, but Karlag was noticed by large building and importance.

So, that we saw and felt we cannot sent by words. Wecansaythattheatmosphereof this building, his energy saved till that day.

When we are going in the building, for the first we saw the broken shanyrak under blue sky with voltaic bird. According to the words of our leader, this symbol was created for the memory about difficult historical life period of Our Suffered Nation, about hundreds of defamed names, millions of broken lives and lost places. There were photos and maps, plans and cards, sentences, lists from letters and memories of prisoners. There were presented the names of Karlag prisoners and their children.

The sample of rail, which was served for signal to the dinner, was saved in the one of museum hall, the firelights of 30-40 years style in all halls. The portraits of Stalin, chosen music, dark color of basementand windows with grilles.

Themuseum has a lot of monument compositions. One of this is called «Белыйросток» - the tree, which was coiled by barbed wire and stumped on the top. We were proud of our country, when we came in the last room of museum monuments, where were collected the materials about our State, in which we live, where our children will live!
