In different parts of our country our multicultural nation met holiday -   Nauryz. And in our  Karaganda we have celebrated it too. During the holiday a special attention was paid to the games: aitys, kokpar, horseraces to show people the festive mood and national traditions and culture. The main aim of the Nauryz holiday is unification of people of different nationalities. That is why Nauryz is one of the greatest and respectable holidays in our independent country. There were yurts and stage installed in the town square.

From the ancient times, Nauryz was a beautiful spring holiday; it means renewal of nature, start of new year and new life. Nauryz is a holiday of unity and harmony among all people. It is a holiday of peace, a sense of beauty and the long-awaited hopes. Nauryz strengthens harmony and peace among society. On the holiday akim of the region Nurmuhambet Abdibekov has congratulated all citizens.

There was about 1000 people in Karaganda gathered together to celebrate Nauryz. There was 45 yurts from Karaganda and 20 yurts from other regions on the Bukhar-Zhyrau prospect. Under the guidance of the rector of Karaganda State Medical University Prof.Dosmagambetova R.S., the faculty of continuing professional development and the professional union demonstrated our yurt, dastarhan which was covered by national dishes.

During the holiday dastarkhans were full of dishes. None could go without tasting food from holiday dastarkhan. Dastarkhans were covered by of national dishes, fruits, tastes, and the most important dish was Nauryz kozhe. It consists of 7 ingredients: water, salt, meat, milk and cereals. Also on the holiday table should always be a kumys. Kumys is considered as one of the most honorable drink of kazakh people. Cheese is prepared of boiled cow's, goat's, sheep's milk. Kurt is prepared by livestock milk, which can be stored for a long time. Talkan is made from chopped boiled wheat, barley and maize. Jent is a special dish that does not freeze in the winter and in the summer does not spoil.

We wish all people to have always full dastarkhans and kazans. Every family on Nauryz holiday should cover a festive table.
