On March 24-27, there was a National Championship in close-handed fight in Shymkent.  In the competition of the best fighters of the country  took part 227 sportsmen  representing 15 teams from 9 regions of Kazakhstan.

        Tournament was organized by the “Close-handed fight Kazakhstan Association” together with Committee for Sport and Physical Education with support of the Akimat of the South Kazakhstan region.

        The National team of Kazakhstan was formed by selecting a limited  number of best participants.

        Karaganda region was represented by the student of KSMU Aizhan Tleukhanova (2-049 GM).  Despite her youth, Aizhan  is experienced  tournament fighter. She has the degrees of Candidate Master of Sport, the holder of a brown belt in judo, a multiple winner of the Republican tournaments and also a student with excellent marks, activist and FIGHTER!

       In the hard battles with the best fighters of the tournament , Aizhan took third place in the weight category up to 50 kilograms and won bronze medal at the national championship in Close-handed fight  2016 .
