On March 17, Department of youth affairs together with participants of poetical club «Жыр-Жауһар» conducted the festive action «Қош келдің Әз-Наурыз». 

          Spring holiday " Nauryz " is one of the most favorite holidays for people of Kazakhstan. It is also called the second New Year.

          Traditionally, people start to celebrate "Nauryz" on March 21. From age to age, this day symbolizes the awakening of nature from winter hibernation , the beginning of its renewal, fertility, rebirth and love for the people of Kazakhstan. On that day people wear their best clothes, go to visit and exchange the best wishes . 

           Organizers of the action did their best : the students read poems written by themselves, enacted sketches, sang songs  and even held holiday “Aitys”. At the end of the event all the guests were invited for a festive “Dastarkhan”. Only Kazakh national dishes such as besbarmak , baursaks , kurt , irimshik , suzbe and  traditional " Nauryz kozhe " were on the table. Organizers  told  all those presented about the Kazakh national traditions, demonstrated national dishes, everyday clothes of  Kazakhs and invited all the guests to taste traditional Kazakh dishes .
