March 16, intellectual game "The struggle of minds" was held by the Youth Work Department in Karaganda State Medical University

The main purpose of the event: Raising students' awareness of tuberculosis prevention, to stimulate interest in this problem and raise a responsible attitude to the health.

According to the terms of the game, all the participants were divided into 4 teams. In order to win points, each team had to show all their erudition, will to victory, as well as impeccable physical training to go through all 5 stations located on different floors, for the shortest of time.

At the station № 1 "Time Travel" and the station №2 «Brainstorm" students were asked to answer a series of questions, including the history of occurrence and diagnosis of tuberculosis.

At the station №3 students demonstrated knowledge of prevention of this formidable disease.

The most popular stationfor the students was station №4 «The show of extrasensory individuals", where the participants had to demonstrate knowledge in all disciplines and reveal the etiology and pathogenesis of tuberculosis.

Equal list of participants contributed to the intrigue of the game continued until the last round, where the students had to demonstrate their creativity and present sketches about tuberculosis.

Following the results of the game, the team "Experts" was recognized as the winner of the intellectual game "The struggle of minds" bythe decision of the competent jury. Moreover, additional nominations were introduced to encourage participants:

  In the category "The Extrasensory individuals" theteam "Children of Avicenna" was recognized as the winners;

  "The most creative" - the team «Brainstorm»;

  "The most artistic" - the team "Mycobacterium";

  and the team "Experts" was recognized as the best in the nomination "Shustryaki".
