On 19 February, Ministry of Science of Students` Republic “Samruk” held a meeting with the head of Science and Research Center of KSMU, Azizov Ilya Suleymanovich on the topic “Involvement of students into scientific research activities”. At the conversation with students, he told us about his start on science road, about idols he respects and takes as an example, about his research achievements and about pleasant memories from his life. The meeting provoked a great interest among students and held educational and informative tone for the future medics. Students asked many questions that were interested in, and Ilya Suleymanovich willingly answered to all of them in details, moreover he gave lots of good advices that might benefit students.

Dr. Azizov made a great contribution into scientific development of our country in the field of Clinical Microbiology. His proceedings were greatly appreciated and today he became a holder of the title “Best Scientist” of 2015. Dr. Azizov is a member of The Interregional Association for Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (IACMAC), International Society of Infection Diseases (ISID), European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infection Diseases, American Society of Microbiology.

The meeting passed in a very relaxed and friendly manner. At the end, we took pictures with Ilya Suleymanovich, and he warmly thanked everyone for having a great meeting. In their turn, students congratulated him with the victory and thanked him for having a great conversation, noting that it was very informative and useful.
