The first experience of resident’s academic mobility

A group of obstetrician-gynecologist residents of the second year of training passed the cycle "Gynecologic Endocrinology" on the basis of obstetrics and gynecology department of the "Altai State Medical University" (ASMU) within the Academic Mobility of Trainees program from December 7^th to December 22^nd, 2015.

Training was conducted at several clinical bases of the department: "The regional perinatal center", "Maternity hospital No.2", "The Siberian institute of reproduction and genetics", gynecologic departments of "City hospital No. 4" and "Regional hospital of the emergency medical service" where urgent and planned gynecologic help is given to female population.

The trainees were shown the organization structure, the main population segment attached to the concrete medical center, tactics of endocrine pathology case management. It should be mentioned that academic staff of the Obstetrics and gynecology departments No.1 and No.2, associate professor, c.m.s. E.A. Markova, MD associate professor S.D. Yavorskaya, c.m.s. A.I. Galchenko, c.m.s. G. V. Nemtseva, c.m.s. E.S. Kravtsova, c.m.s. T.A. Bolgova, c.m.s. T.I. Gorbacheva, c.m.s. V. V. Vostrikov supplied theoretical material in interesting way with the support of clinical cases at the point-of-care. Reproduction problems, miscarriage, neuroendocrine pathology were well shown. During 2 weeks of training the residents had opportunity to reinforce theoretical skills on laparotomy, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries.

The trainees were also offered an active cultural program: a sightseeing tour through Barnaul, excursions to the museum of ASMU history and mountain drugstore, drama theater named after V. M. Shukshin, a ski holiday. We are very grateful to I.E. Babushkin, vice-rector for academic work, for warm welcome and leisure organization.

In the end there was a meeting with I.P. Saldan, ASMU rector, MD, professor; and certificate of completion presentation. "We hope for further cooperation with your University, - the rector of ASMU said. – We will expand borders on experience exchange because we have a lot to share with each other".
