On December 7, 2015 Department of Epidemiology and Communal Hygiene held a training on HIV prevention among young people in the dormitory №4. The purpose of the training was to teach students self-assessment of risk, avoiding dangerous situations and protect themselves and their families from infection.
The training was attended by 38 students of 1-3 years of “Public Health” and “Medical and Preventive care”, living in a dormitory.

At the beginning of the training, participants were shown a film about the epidemiology of HIV infection in the world and in our republic, about the sources, pathways and factors of transmission and preventive measures against infection. After that, students of 3 years of “Public Health” held “Field of Miracles” game on Kazakh and Russian. During of the game participants could show their knowledge about genesis of this infection, sources, pathways and factors of transmission, preventive and diagnostic measures against HIV infection.

At the end of the training feedback with students was done. Participants were able to learn prepared information and to develop their knowledge about HIV infection. All interested students were handed out brochures, condoms, notepads and notebooks for prophylactic of HIV.
