For you, my favorite city!

For you, my favorite city!

24 October 2014

This year we celebrate the 80th anniversary of our beloved Karaganda.

This is the celebration of all people who cherish the glorious mining town, who is proud of its history and traditions. For the past 80 years Karaganda worked the glorious way up from a small village to one of the largest cities of Kazakhstan. Tens of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, research and design institutes create a powerful scientific and educational potential of the coal capital. The city lives in high-speed mode and new technologies.

Karaganda was glorified by akyns, poets and artists. On-stage performance groups prepared festive shows.

The competition for the best graffiti sketch devoted to this nice date was announced in Karaganda State Medical University within the city anniversary celebration. The competition winners were the students of GM faculty Eltayeva Aluash (gr.4072) and Baiseeva Malika (gr.4075).

After summing up the creative team of representatives of the "Club of Artists KSMU" including A.Umarova (GM 1039), A. Nazarova (2088 GM), A.Shariphan (3030 GM) D.Zhakypov (2035 GM) A.Eltaeva (4072 GM) M. Baiseeva (4075 GM) S.Balkenovoy (2067 GM), B. Konarbaevoy (1051 GM) and S.Sayrambek (KazNMU of Asfendiyarov) has begun to bring the project to life...

First of all they chose so called “model”. It was two construction trailers near the new KSMU building under construction. After a careful preparatory work such as cleaning, levelling the surface, priming, the images from the sketches were carefully transferred by the artists on the work surface in the scale of 1:20.

Creative process caused a small stir among neighboring children. The children from nearby houses had their eyes glued on the artists’ work. The most courageous asked permission to draw … Obviously, presence of such exacting audience imposed additional responsibility on our students and forced them to apply even more diligence, talent and skill. And the result met expectations.
