On May 6, 2014  "Students' Festival of National Cultures " was held at the Medical College of KSMU, dedicated to the Unity Day of Peoples of Kazakhstan. During the festival, the participants represented various ethnic groups and nationalities, told guests and students about the culture, traditions, customs of the people, provided the national dishes, performed traditional dances and songs, demonstrated the richness and variety of national costumes.

The festival was held for the purpose of creating a sense of patriotism, spreading the ideas of spiritual unity, ethnic harmony and identify talented young people in the arts, strengthen inter-ethnic unity and friendship groups in a multi-ethnic composition.

College students of  "Stomatology" and "Dentistry Orthopaedic" specialties with their groups’ headmasters  Mutsolgova Z.M. (202CS), Saduvakasovoy J.T.(201 CDO), Borisevich A.N. (202 CDO), Mataeva A.S. (203CDO)  and Slepchuk A.S. (302 CS) prepared concert numbers, collected material about the culture and traditions of nationality, which fell to them by lot at the beginning of training. The festival presents the following nationalities: Kazakh, Uzbek, Chechen, Ingush, Turkish and Gypsy. All performances were bright, colorful and fun. Celebration took place in an atmosphere of friendship, warmth.

College studentswere awarded in the category "Best Costume", "Best Dance", "Best national feast", "Best National Song" and "The most original idea of tradition".

 Festival interethnic communication strengthened and promoted tolerance education, devotion to our country, people and selfless love for the land of their fathers.
