Among the best in terms of Sustainable Development Goals

The results of Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings-2024 were announced. This way, Karaganda Medical University is on the 1st place among medical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the 3rd place among all Kazakhstani universities and on 800-1000 positions among universities of the world.

"This year our university entered this ranking for the first time in terms of sustainable development goals and we believe that for the first time this is a fairly good result," notes Victor Riklefs, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Cooperation of "KMU" NCJSC. - It is encouraging that by the criterion of quality of education we are on the third place in Kazakhstan. There is room for improvement, and I think we will be better next year".

Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking is a global ranking of the world's higher education institutions that rates universities in accordance with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The UN Sustainable Development Goals aim to improve the well-being of the population and protect the planet. The ranking methodology of the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings is based on the analysis of research, socially oriented programs, resource management, and the university's contribution to education.

This year Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings ranked a record 2,152 universities from 125 countries.
