First in Kazakhstan

The first fellow from Kazakhstan to receive a scholarship from the International FAIMER Institute (IFI) was the head of the Simulation Center of the Medical University of Karaganda.

Gulshat Kemelova was included in the Top twenty scholarship recipients for FAIMER 2024, selected from 166 applicants from medical workers at academic institutions in 19 countries.

The competition committee evaluated candidates on existing achievements and project proposals that could have a significant impact on medical education.

FAIMER is a Foundation for the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, which has united 10 regional institutes around the world for 21 years. Currently, more than 2,000 graduates from 55 countries have completed training from this Foundation.

The two-year online fellowship program is designed to provide training in educational methods, leadership and management, educational research, project management and evaluation, and develop strong professional connections with other health professions educators around the world.

Training at the FAIMER International Institute will begin on June 3, 2024.
