Tenge is a symbol of independence
On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the introduction of Kazakhstan's
national currency - tenge - and as part of the implementation of the concept “Zhana
Kazakhstan” (New Kazakhstan), a round-table discussion on “National currency –
a special milestone in Kazakhstan's history” was held on November 13, 2023, at
the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Political Sciences.
The round table's aim is to foster Kazakhstani patriotism, respect for national attributes and symbols, history, and traditions.
The round table opened with a musical performance on dombra by Yerbolat Orynbasar, a student of group 2005, specialty “General Medicine.”
Svetlana Nikiforova, head of Kazakhstan's Department of History and Social and Political Sciences, gave a welcoming speech.
The speakers provided students with helpful cybersecurity advice as well as recommendations. They underlined the importance of developing student youth financial literacy.
The student of the first year of group 1004, a specialty “Biomedicine,” on behalf of the student youth of NCJSC "KMU," made a report on: “Youth about Kazakhstan's national currency.”
Rustam Rakhimov, Deputy Director of the JSC "Bank RBK" branch, shared his expert opinion.
The students actively asked questions to the speakers, which resulted in an interesting lively conversation. Participants were given certificates and letters of gratitude at the end of the round table discussion.
