On January 20-22, AlmaU hosted the Entrepreneurial MeetUp 2023. The event lasted 3 days, during which the participants were able to meet and communicate with entrepreneurs, businessmen, top managers, startup founders and experts from various fields. 11 students and 4 employees of the Karaganda Medical University took part in EM 2023.

On the first day, for our students was organized an excursion to the International Clinical Center of Reproduction PERSONA, whose business case was solved at the Kemel Kasipker championship. Then the participants plunged into the atmosphere of intellectual and creative team building from Svetlana Fortuna.

On the second day, students were able to talk about the multiplication of finance with Lyazzat Satieva, the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Bank. By the end of the day, the participants met with Kanat Kopbayev, co-owner of the Kusto Group, who occupies the 37th place in the list of the richest businessmen in Kazakhstan in 2021 according to Forbes Kazakhstan.

EM 2023 ended with an inspiring speech by Gennady Kim – Ex CEO & Shareholder of ChocoFamily, co-founder of RahmetApp, Cantra USA, Kitchen's. He talked about how he left hiring and about his way of founding his own projects.

Our employees, in turn, were trained in the modules “How can a teacher become a creator of a community at a university?” from the Rozetka Bureau, “Creative teaching” from Ulan Usenov, “Critical Thinking” from Rim Abdullin, “Tracking in the educational environment” from Daniyar Medetov.

The Entrepreneurial MeetUp is organized within the framework of the project “Ecosystem of Student Entrepreneurship”, which aims to transform classical regional educational institutions into entrepreneurial ones, develop the entrepreneurial community in the region, as well as develop entrepreneurial skills among students.

The Eurasian Group initiated the project “Ecosystem of Student Entrepreneurship” in 2017.
