ORPHEUS Virtual seminar on PhD supervision
On November 11, 2022, an online
master class was held at the Karaganda medical university NCJSC, organized by
experts from Orpheus, an organization of higher education in biomedicine and
clinical medicine in the European region for scientific consultants and
doctoral students.
ORPHEUS has been actively cooperating with Karaganda medical university NCJSC for several years. The organizers of the workshop were Karaganda Medical University, Izmir University of Economics School of Medicine (Turkey), Aarhus University (Denmark) and University College in Dublin (Ireland).
The program of the seminar discussed topics such as Professional behavior in scientific leadership, Communication between the supervisor and the doctoral student, Conflict resolution.
The course was conducted by Dr. Janet Carton (University College Dublin, Ireland), Prof. Gül Güner Akdogan (Izmir University of Economics, School of Medicine, Turkey) and Prof. Michael Mulvany (Aarhus University, Denmark) together with facilitators (tutors) from Karaganda.
