When all departments of the university were preparing to meet students at the university, the Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies conducted a final exam for the International  Medical Faculty (MMF) students . The 410 students have a curriculum different from other faculties. MMF students have completed their first year of study at the Karaganda Medical University and are ready to go back to India for 2 months of vacation. Before leaving home, they must pass a stage exam, which took place on September 1 and 2, 2022 at the Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies.

 Upon completion of the simulation course "Basic Medical Manipulations", students passed the OSCE - an objective structured clinical exam, authored by Ronald Harden (Great Britain). In modern medical education, the OSCE is the gold standard for assessing practical skills. The conditions for all students are standardized with uniform checklist criteria, the reliability and validity of this exam is much higher than other assessment approaches.

The exam included the passage of 3 stations: cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intramuscular and intravenous injections. Taking into account the large number of students (more than 400), the exam was held non-stop from 9 am to 4 pm. The high organization of this event, brought to automatism, made it possible to conduct the exam at the proper level without unnecessary difficulties.

OSCE at KMU starts from the first year of study and students' achievements in practical skills are checked annually using this assessment approach. Upon completion of the OSCE, a survey was conducted for the purpose of self-assessment of students and evaluation of the work of the Center. The students highly appreciated the organizational work of the Center staff and were satisfied with their own results.
