Towards a referendum

On May 18, at the Medical University of Karaganda, a meeting was held between students and staff of the university with representatives of the information group to clarify the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, consisting of: deputy of the Karaganda city maslikhat Zh.K. Kamali, chairman of the Karaganda regional branch of the NGO "World Association of Kazakhs" Bashai Meruesh, police lieutenant colonel, senior lecturer of the department of general legal disciplines of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after B. Beisenov O.A. Ladygin, police colonel, deputy head of the department of general legal disciplines of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after B. Beisenov T.S. Salkebaev and the head of the sector of the socio-political situation, outreach work of the State Institution "Department of Internal Policy of the City of Karaganda" S.K. Aubakirov.

The meeting was opened by acting Chairman of the Board-Rector of  "MUK"  NCJSC A.A. Turmukhambetov. Noting the importance of the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the country, Anar Akylbekovna introduced the audience to the participants of the information group and expressed confidence that all those present at the meeting would come to their polling stations on June 5 and participate in the referendum, choosing New Kazakhstan.

Participants of the information group told the audience about the essence of the forthcoming constitutional reform, explained the main changes proposed to be introduced into the Basic Law. The guests hope that all residents of the region will show their civil position by taking an active part in the referendum.
