On August 9, a special monitoring group continued to monitor the procedure for conducting entrance examinations for residency. The group included Chairman of the Karaganda regional branch of the youth wing “Jas Otan” of the party “Nur Otan” Yerzhan Khamitov, the compliance officer of the NCJSC KMU Alexander Urmashov, the consultant of the Karaganda regional branch of the youth wing “Jas Otan” of the party “Nur Otan” Mazhitov Arafat.
Entrance exams were conducted according to the “Objective Structured Clinical Exam” method at 5 emergency stations in medicine. This method maximally excludes the corruption component and minimizes the risks in the assessment of knowledge. “The applicant before the exam is registered, receiving a special identification number, and independent examiners, not knowing the data of the test taker, evaluate and set points using an electronic device according to the identification number of the applicant. Only at the end is the decryption of the data of those who have passed the exam made”, - said Gulshat Seitmuratovna.
This exam is one of the components of the final assessment of the applicant - GPA, scientific achievements for the last 3 calendar years and other achievements in scientific activity are also taken into account. Points can also be earned for professional experience and work in infectious diseases hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The final assessment of all applicants is approved by a special examination committee, consisting of the heads and teachers of the departments of the university.
