On April 14, 2021, in the framework of implementation of the program for the modernization of public consciousness “Rukhani zhangyru”, the online student scientific and practical conference “Rukhani Zhangyru”: the heritage of great ancestors and a look into the future of Kazakhstan” was held by the Languages Development Center of NC JSC “KMU”. 75 people took part in the conference: 1st year students of NC JSC “KMU” studying in the state and Russian languages, and their scientific advisors. All reports and presentations were prepared under the guidance of the teaching staff of the Languages Development Center of NC JSC “KMU”.

The aim of the conference was to discuss the relevant issues related to the modernization of public consciousness aimed at forming the unitary nation of Kazakhstan taking into account the best traditions of the past based on national and cultural roots.

Rector’s advisor for social and educational work, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.B. Molotov-Luchansky spoke for the administration of NС JSC “KMU” with a welcoming speech addressed to the participants of the conference. He highlighted the program strategies for the modernization of public consciousness “Rukhani zhangyru”, noted the importance of the conference, and the relevance of the reports.

Based on the results of the conference, the practical recommendations reflected in the resolution were formulated on issues related to the training of personnel adapted to global competition in the field of knowledge:

- analysis of textbooks, educational programs, and teaching methods in the aspect of using traditional and innovative approaches to personnel training in the conditions of modern Kazakhstan;

- assessment of the process and degree of implementation of the program for the introduction of trilingualism in education and in other public life spheres in Kazakhstan;

- presentation and analysis of real persons’ lore, “those who create modern Kazakhstan with their minds, hands and talent”.

The reports were presented in Kazakh, Russian, and English. The total number of reports was 48.

The conference was carried out in a plenary session and in three sections:

1.  Traditions and innovations in education of modern Kazakhstan.

2.  Realization of the cultural project “Trilingualism”: problems and prospects.

3.  Heroes of our time: specific lore of specific people.

At the plenary session 6 reports were heard. In section 1 there were 11 reports. 12 reports were in section 2. In section 3 there were 19 reports (there were 9 reports in subsection A, 10 reports in subsection B).

All reports are published in the electronic version of the conference proceedings. The participants and their scientific advisors were awarded certificates recognizing their work. The plenary session speakers were awarded speaker diplomas.

Based on the results of the conference sections, the best reports were awarded with diplomas of three degrees: 1^st degree diplomas (14 reports), 2^nd degree diplomas (13 reports), and 3^rd degree diplomas (10 reports).

The students and their scientific advisors expressed their readiness to take part in organizing and participating in such conferences on a regular basis.
