New horizons for cooperation

On November 5, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Tajikistan, Cesar Armeanu, has arrived to Karaganda. The main purpose of the visit was the opening of the festival of Romanian cinema.

During his visit to the mining capital, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Board - Rector Dosmagambetova Raushan Sultanovna, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Science Turmukhambetova Anar Akylbekovna and President of the Romanian Cultural Society “Dacia” Plushkis Nikolai Vaslovasovich. issues of implementing of joint projects of the Karaganda Medical University and Romanian universities, academic exchange, realization of workshops with participation of Romanian specialists and cooperation under the Erasmus + program have been discussed at the meeting.

Mr. Cesar Armeanu has given an introductory lecture on Romania for students of our university,. At the end of the meeting, Romanian film «LIVE» directed by Vlad Paunescu has been shown. The film tells the story of a TV presenter, revealing a high-profile case of political conspiracy and corruption in the highest circles of power.
