Celebration of 100th anniversary of Bahia Atchabarov

On 20 September of 2019, scientific-practical conference of the young scientists “PhD Scientific Day” has been held in the university. This conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary since birth of Bahia Atchabarov- the first scholar, the famous initiator of medical science and health care of Kazakhstan, participant of the Great Patriotic War, academician of RK NAS and a native of Karaganda region.

Colleagues, pulps and allies of Atchabarov had a speech at the conference: Ibraev Serik Aytmakovich, Ablaev Zhangetkhan Ablayuly, Tobayakov Bakhytzhan Oshakbaevich, Kalishev Marat Guzairovich and children and grandchildren of the academician, reports of the PhD students, have been presented within the conference program “Innovative and personalized medicine (surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology and e.t.c.), “ Clinical medicine: from theory to practice (therapy, etc)”, “ Science in public health”, “ Modern pharmatheutical technology: current search and new approaches”.

Atchabarov was the talented initiator, perfect theorists, a man of the high culture and he made a significant contribution to the development of domestic health and science. During his tenure as Director of the Institute of regional pathology, the Institute has become one of the largest research centers in the country. The restoration of the country from the ruins required the vigorous development of all spheres of life, including science, aimed at the implementation of the primary practical tasks. The rapid growth of industrial production in the country actualized the problem of labor protection, and therefore in 1956 the Department of occupational health was reorganized into two independent departments: occupational health and occupational diseases. Great personal contribution Atshabarov B. A. contributed to the study of occupational diseases in the production of non-ferrous metals, phosphorus and phosphoric mineral fertilizers, in oil extraction and health in agriculture.

Our compatriot Atchabarov Bahia was, a man of truly encyclopedic knowledge and interests, a brilliant scientist. He has always looked depth and perspective problems, laid the basis for the development of numerous branches of medical science of our country, expressed many ideas which are already partially implemented.
