The Department of Medical Psychology and Communication Skills in the spring semester of 2018-2019 is developing an updated clinical base in Prishakhtinsk - the clinic of Medical University, which began functioning in 2019.

 In the clinic, on practical classes and independent work of students and teachers in the rotation mode of groups the doctors-residents of "General medical practice" and "Therapy" master the relevant practical skills for "patient-centered care" - the discipline of the University component, developed by the staff of the Department. The discipline considers the issues of patient-centered approach to solving the problems of patient, the formation of effective compliance, healthy lifestyle and psychosocial rehabilitation.

Doctors-subordinators conduct health schools with patients for various diseases-hypertension, diabetes, gastritis, gastric ulcer, osteochondrosis and others in practical classes in the clinic

 In February 2019, students introduced Chinese gymnastics for the elderly in the clinic- in all the wards of the therapeutic Department. However, young patients with neurological disorders have adopted this method.

 Patients are satisfied - they express their gratitude to the young caring doctors of the Department - to residents ofNCJSC KMU, and students who provide them with maximum information on diseases, improving medical culture and adherence to treatment.

  Thus, The University implements the direction specified by the Minister of health of Kazakhstan Y.A. Birtanov - "the sociality and quality of medicine are our the main guidelines".
