The republican tournament in volleyball among medical universities, dedicated to the memory of the honored sportsman, associate professor N. H. Teleuova, was held in Aktobe from the 19^th till 22^nd  of February. The organizer of the sports event was the West Kazakhstan State Medical University named after Marat Ospanov. Representatives of the University friendly welcomed the players and fans at the opening ceremony of the competition and focused on the necessity of promoting physical education and sports among youth. The tournament was attended by teams of medical universities from Astana, Karaganda, Almaty, Semipalatinsk.

The tournament was held in a circular system. The competitions were held in the spirit of fair, healthy struggle. The heat of sport intrigue didn`t subside throughout the tournament. The fight for the first place, in which the teams of our university and KazNMU named after S. Asfendiyarov was stressful. The girls showed an excellent physical and technical training, the fans added confidence to the players.

As a result of a stubborn and decent struggle, the KMU team won. Our team was represented by Grishanova Valeria, Amantayeva Diana, Kiryushkina Anastasia, Kalymbet Moldyr, Raushanova Tolganai, Kudryavtseva Julia, Imasheva Dilnara  and the coach Reingardt E.A.  The third place was taken by the hosts of the tournament - WKSMU.  The winners and prize-winners were awarded with the cup, diplomas and medals. Kalymbet Moldir was recognized as the best striker of the tournament.

Such tournament among students of Medical Universities was held for the first time. The organizers hope that this sport event will eventually become traditional.
