December 16th is a historical date in Kazakhstan

On December 13, on the stage of the assembly hall of KSMU the annual solemn meeting devoted to the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held.

Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Science and International Cooperation A.Turmukhambetova opened the solemn part of the evening. For long-term conscientious work and in connection with the celebration of Independence Day, a number of university employees were awarded with «Еңбек ардагері» medals,  «Денсаулық сақтау ісіне қосқан үлесі үшін» and «Қазақстан Республикасы денсаулық сақтау ісінің үздігі»breastplates and thankful letters of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, 20 employees of the university were awarded with letters of thanks from the rector of KSMU for active participation in the activities of the university.

The solemn award ceremony continued with a festive concert of the creative teams of the university, organized by the Youth Affairs Department.

Creative groups presented a diverse cultural program. The audience warmly welcomed the composition called «Ата толғауы» of the  Nurgisa Tilendiev performed by the dombra orchestra. Participants of the vocal trio «Жігіттер» were awarded with applause of the public for the «Туған жер»song. The audience was fascinated by the «Көзімнің қарасы»and «Қыз сезімі»dance compositions performed by the soloists of the “Golden Step” dance theater and «Қаракөз»the folk ensemble of oriental dances.

Patriotic compositions “My Motherland” of  Dana Eralyeva and  Maksat Srazhadinov, and “Astana” of Aydar Tuleev and Samat Қairbaev were performed.

The song called “Peace on Earth” (words and music were written by the head of the choir T.D.Povernikova) performed by the choir was a gift to the audience on the Independence Day.

The solemn concert ended with a bright final performance of the “Atameken” composition.
