XXIV Joint Russian Gastroenterological Week was held in October 2018, in Moscow. It was devoted to the problem of acid-related diseases, the role of helicobacter infection in the development of gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis, cancer of the stomach and intestines.

 The issues of using the most effective proton pump inhibitors in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease were addressed. The use of bismuth drugs in quadrotherapy, the duration of treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease were considered; the effectiveness of the use of biological drugs in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease were discussed.

The issues of modern therapy for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, chronic hepatitis, chronic constipation, bacterial overgrowth syndrome were discussed.

This event was held under the leadership of Academician V.P. Ivashkina. Two presentations were presented by assistant professor of internal diseases department №1 Z.K.Guseinova. One of them was connected with scientific results, from the target financing programm. Questions were asked and positive feedback received.
