Since September 20, students of the Tajik State Medical University named after Abuali-ibn-Sino (Dushanbe) are studying in KSMU on a program of academic mobility.

In Tajikistan, the guys successfully studied at the university and seriously did sports in the youth teams of the clubs of the super-league "Istiqlol" and "CSKA-Pamir". After all, the passion for medicine has won, but football has remained in the hearts of future doctors.

Permanent participants of various competitions in Dushanbe, including the football "Rector's Cup" of TSMU, students from Tajikistan before the trip to Kazakhstan started getting  interested  about football at KSMU. The guys were very happy to learn from social networks that the KSMU has regular football championshipand decided to definitely participate in this tournament.

Immediately on arriving in Karaganda, the captain of TSMU-team Odil Norov met with the main judge of the championship A.K.Tukhmetov and ask to allow  for Tajikistan-team in the championship of KSMU. Of course, permission was given and on September 29 the students from Dushanbe started in the XVI championship of the KSMU on football.

In the very first game, the team from Tajikistan won the young team “Dormitory 1” (captain Halmetov Bakhrom), then loose to the leader of the championship “Dentistry” (captain Karimov Zhandarbek) and won the team “Dormitory 6” (captain Tleuov Aslan) in the third game.

After three rounds a team of students from Tajikistan is occupies third position in the table and has good chances to improve their situation. It should be noted that games of the team collect a large audience. Students from universities of the region come to support their compatriots.

We wish the students of TSMU future victories and successfully combine a good study at the university with sports activities.
