On the 17^th of September 2018 Director of the Institute of Health Sciences of Vilnius University Natalja Fatkulina arrived in Karaganda State Medical University.

The main purpose of Natalja Fatkulina's visit was to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between KSMU and Vilnius University in the field of Nursing with the goal of Modernizing Nursing in Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of Natalja Fatkulina’s visit, there were the meetings and the issues of further cooperation were discussed with Vice-rector for Strategic Development, Science and International Cooperation A. A. Turmukhambetova, Vice-Rector for Organizational and Economical Work M. T. Teleuov, Vice-Rector for Clinical Work and Continuing Professional Development B. N. Kosherova, Vice-rector for Educational and Methodical Work V.P. Riklefs.

On the 18^th of September 2018 the working meeting was held with the heads of the departments of the KSMU, the deans of the university and students of the bachelor's and master's degrees in the specialty "Nursing". During the meeting, the expert presented the main stages of reforms in the field of Nursing in Lithuania, all participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the expert.

From the 17^th of September until the 19^th of September 2018 Natalja Fatkulina visited the Center for Practical Skills, the Dental Clinic and the Medical Center of the KSMU.

The result of the negotiations was an agreement between the parties on the training of students of the KSMU in "Nursing" for the training at the Vilnius University, as well as organizing of the trainings in Nursing for the academic staff of the university, development of a new educational program on Nursing, and intensifying strategic partnership.
