The need for a phased expansion of the academic and managerial autonomy of universities is one of the main reasons for the reorganization of the RSE on REM “Karaganda State Medical University”.

In accordance with the established legislation,
the RSE on REM “Karaganda State Medical University” will be transformed into
the Non-commercial Joint Stock Company (NJSC) “Karaganda Medical University”,
with 100% state participation in the authorized capital.
The main advantage of a non-commercial joint-stock company over commercial is that all profits received by the university will be directed to its development.
In NJSC, students will be able to study both on an educational grant and on an economic basis. Diplomas of graduation will be in a state-approved format.
