"Academic mobility" in the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Shymkent.

At the present stage of development, academic mobility is the most effective way of improving the quality of education.

From 21.05.2018 to 01.06.2018 an assistant of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenereology of Karaganda State Medical University Gulzhakhan Rakhimbaevna Beysenova was at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenereology in the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (UKMA) in Shymkent within the program of academic mobility.

Within framework of academic mobility, classes were held in 627, 619 groups of the specialty "General Medicine", the area of training "General medical practice", in the discipline "Infectious Diseases" in the amount of 2 credits (lectures, practical classes and SWST).

The problem - oriented lectures on the basis of the study of clinical cases, clinical protocols of the Republic of Kazakhstan on infectious diseases were read. Practical classes were conducted on the most topical topics of infectious diseases: Plague, tularemia, anthrax, cholera, CCHF, brucellosis, helminthiases, acute respiratory viral infection, diphtheria, HIV infection, etc. During the practical classes the differential diagnosis, laboratory diagnostics and the development of the clinical protocol of the Republic of Kazakhstan on infectious diseases were discussed in more detail. The SWST was carried out using active training methods TEAM - BASED LEARNING (TBL) on anthrax, cholera, CASE BASED LEARNING (CBL) on the topic: helminthiases, infectious mononucleosis. Role play on the topic: acute and chronic brucellosis using elements of communication skills. Based on the results of the classes, students presented scientific essays on topical issues.

After the classes, students received positive feedback in the form of questionnaires. In their opinion, active teaching methods make it easier to understand, assimilate and consolidate the educational material that has been passed. TBL and CBL, role-playing game in addition to solving the clinical problem, are taught and communicative skills, such as teamwork, the skill of mutual understanding with the use of theoretical knowledge.

Gulzhakhan Rakhimbaevna Beysenova took part in the therapeutic activity of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenereology of SKMA, and also participated in clinical examinations with the head of department and associate professors, took part in the analysis of difficult clinical cases and the consultation.
