From 14 to 25 of May 2018, within the framework of internal academic mobility acting professor of the Department of Biological Chemistry G.A. Omarova participated in educational process of the Department of General Biological Chemistry of Astana Medical University. She gave lectures for 2^nd year students in  the “General medicine” and “Dentistry” specialties and also conducted practical and laboratory classes in the framework of the curriculum of this specialties.

In the training groups for students of the specialty “General medicine” laboratory practicum was held on the topic “Normal and pathological components of urine. Definition of normal and pathological components of urine” using Team-based Learning (TBL). This method of studying allows students to develop their teamwork skills in solving particular situational task.

Theoretical material on practical classes “Biochemistry of blood”, “Features of metabolism of erythrocytes”, “Biochemistry of kidney and urine” was studied on the examples of solving specific situational tasks.

For the teaching staff of the department acting professor G.A Omarova held a master-class on the topic: “Regulation of water-salt metabolism. Biochemistry of urine in norm and pathology”.

During this period the Olympiad on the discipline “Medical biochemistry” was held at the department by the students of the second year, in jury of which G.A. Omarova was invited. She noted good knowledge of students of AMU on this discipline and also talent, creativity and humour.
