During two weeks from 29.03.18. to 12.04.18. professor Abatov N.T., PhD student of the 3^rd year of specialty 6D110100 "Medicine" Badyrov R.M. and master student of the 1^st year of the specialty 6M110100 "Medicine" Sevastyanov L.V. as part of a scientific internship were trained at Shimane University Faculty of Medicine (Izumo City and Ohda City, Japan).

Our surgeons studied the experience of Japanese colleagues in terms of surgical treatment of abdominal pathology with the use of laparoscopic technology, a number of oncological diseases. In turn, Professor Abatov N.T. gave lectures on modern approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases, practical exercises, demonstrated its unique technique for conducting laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Badyrov R.M. the research work was carried out on the topic of the planned PhD thesis "Experimental substantiation of the use of extracellular bovine-derived peritoneum matrix for abdominal wall defects repair". Sevastyanov L.V. within the framework of the scientific internship, a course on the methodology scientific research, assistance in surgical interventions for oncourologic pathology was completed.

Also our doctors studied the features of outpatient admission and preoperative preparation of surgical and oncologic patients, peculiarities and tactics of managing patients in the postoperative period. The cycle on ultrasound diagnostics in surgery, urology and oncology is passed.

Within the framework of the visit, a meeting with Shimane University President Yasunao Hattori and Shimane University Hospital Director Mikio Igawa was held, during which the features of postgraduate education of medical personnel in Japan and Kazakhstan, as well as opportunities for further cooperation were discussed.

Upon completion of the training, Karaganda surgeons reported to the Japanese colleagues about the results of their scientific and practical activities at the conference, what caused the genuine interest of foreign specialists. For example, the report of Professor Abatov N.T. about such a pathology endemic for our region, as Echinococcosus granulosus caused heated discussion and numerous questions, since this pathology in Japan is extremely rare. PhD student Badyrov RM reported on the main results of the research work, master student Sevastyanov L.V.  – about laparoscopic correction of urological pathology, conducted in the Medical Center of KSMU. After the conference, the ceremonial presentation of certificates took place.
