Master Class «Modern tactics of treatment for pregnant women with intrauterine infections»
On March 28, 2018,
on the behalf of KSMU the Department of
Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenereology conducted a master class with
international participants on the topic: " Modern tactics of treatment for
pregnant women with intrauterine infections ". The choices of topic were determined
by the relevant problem, that includes the infectious diseases which are
dangerous for mother and unborn child, that are diagnosed only during
pregnancy. It is very important to choose the right tactics of treatment for
pregnant women, to answer the number of questions: "Is it necessary to
prolong pregnancy?", "Is this infection can be a risk for a pregnant
and developing child?", "Is there any birth defects ?",
"What are the preventive measures for intrauterine infections ", etc.
The master class was attended by an honorable guest from Germany, MD, Frank Haamann, who visited our university by the invitation of the International Cooperation Department. B.N. Kosherova , Vice-Rector for Clinical Work and Continuous Professional Development, made a welcoming address.
Infectious disease doctors of the Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital, Obstetricians-gynecologists of Polyclinic No.5 and Polyclinic No.3, PSE Saran Center Hospital; general practitioners, residents of the 1st and 2nd year of "Infectious diseases, including pediatrics specialty, interns of the 7th year of the specialty «General Medicine» showed interest in the problem of intrauterine infections.
Professor F. Haamann drew the attention of participants of the master class on the prevention of infectious diseases, how it is important and cost-effective to prevent the increase of diseases. He disclosed the topic of nonspecific prevention of nosocomial, respiratory infections, viral hepatitis with a parenteral mechanism of transmission, HIV infection. Particular attention was paid to vaccine prevention issues, expressed the idea of the importance to ply with knowledge from school days.There were many questions to Professor Haamann: "Are there an infectious disease service Infectious hospitals in Germany?", "What is the model of insured medical services in Germany?", "Are there any university clinics?", etc.
A.A. Kim, head of the Department of Infectious Diseses and Dermatovenerology, PhD doctor, Associate professor E.S. Zhunusov, PhD doctor, Associate professor N.E. Sarsekeyeva, Associate Professor N.A. Timchenko, assistants E. L. Kolmogorova, T. P. Mansurova, G. R Beysenova reported the problem of acute and chronic hepatitis, herpetic and cytomegalovirus infections, toxoplasmosis and listeriosis, bacterial vaginosis, HIV infection.
Members of the department answered all questions, gave clinical examples from practice, gave recommendations.
The audience thanked Professor F. Haamann, and the department for providing practically meaningful information.
